Presenting my Project Salud research at the Indiana University Undergraduate Research Conference (IUURC) was a rewarding experience that allowed me to showcase my work on caregiver interventions and their impact on Latine adolescent mental health. This opportunity not only strengthened my scientific communication skills but also reinforced the importance of culturally informed research in psychology. Receiving an Honorable Mention Award for my presentation was especially meaningful, as it validated my ability to convey complex research findings effectively and engage with an academic audience.

Through this experience, I improved my ability to synthesize qualitative research, translate key findings into an accessible presentation, and confidently respond to questions. It also deepened my appreciation for the impact of research in shaping mental health interventions for diverse populations. As I prepare for a PhD in Clinical Psychology, this experience has strengthened my ability to present at academic conferences, defend my research, and contribute to discussions on mental health equity and culturally competent care.
