Health Psychology Project
For my honors project in Health Psychology (PSY-B365), I created educational materials on stress management, including mindfulness and relaxation exercises. Designed to be visually engaging and accessible, these materials included self-assessment tools to help individuals identify stress levels and choose effective techniques. I also researched barriers to accessing stress management, particularly economic limitations affecting treatment availability.
This project enhanced my ability to translate psychological research into practical applications and improved my health communication and research skills. By designing user-friendly materials, I learned how to make mental health resources more accessible. As I pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology, these skills will help me bridge scientific research and public education, reinforcing my commitment to mental health advocacy and equitable care.

Reflection
This project deepened my appreciation for the importance of making mental health resources widely accessible. While stress management techniques are well-researched, not everyone has access to the tools or education needed to implement them effectively. Through this experience, I learned how to simplify complex psychological concepts, ensuring they are both engaging and useful for a broad audience. Moving forward, I hope to continue incorporating research-backed, accessible mental health interventions into my work, whether through clinical applications or public health initiatives.
